It brought my heart joy, knowing how special this gift has to be for her. It’s one of the most thoughtful gifts I’ve ever seen given to another human being. The Gift I Never Knew I Needed & What’s In It: The Necessities & Niceties of A Perfect Reading Space
For weeks leading up to Christmas, my husband could hardly contain his excitement. He had carefully thought out and executed the best gift, and for once, I had no idea what it was.
I had asked for a melon baller, and would have been overjoyed at the idea of uniform sized cantaloupe; however, I doubted my husband shared the same sentiment. I prepared my heart for what was to come. I appreciated his thoughtfulness, and adored his excitement, but would I enjoy his gift?
As I unwrapped my present on Christmas morning, I could hardly control my emotions. Okay, I didn’t. I cried. I cried a lot. I finally had a perfect (for me) reading space!
When I moved past the thoughtfulness of my loving and considerate husband, I was overcome by ideas of being able to read without unwanted distraction, with virtually everything I could possibly need within an arm’s reach.

- Foot duvets

- Notebook and Pen
- Match boxes designed to look like banned books (In case I come across something I don’t like.. kidding.. kind of.. )
- A mega phone (To holler at people, if they need me)
- Novel teas– Little tea bags that have quotes from famous writers or works
Right now, I like that I don’t have a bookshelf in this room. Since I suffer from book distraction, a disease in which you read ¾ of a book, then start a new one, I only keep the books I’m currently reading in there. When I become more disciplined, I might consider one.

My reading space is a train or a tram or a chair in backyard in evening. Bed, if I read just before sleeping!
